EEG / ERP

Functional brain activity is assessed through the BrainVision acti32CHamp system. This system allows users flexibility where data can be collected via 16 channels for simple ERP studies or can be upgraded to 160 channels for more complex dense array EEG source localization analyses. The actiCHamp system is equipped with active electrodes by BrainProducts, which allows for “active” shielding of electrodes during recording. In addition, there are 8 auxiliary channels included on the amplifier that can be used to assess EOG, EMG, GSR, respiration, temperature, and other physiological signals. ERPs are the lab’s primary assessment tool, most commonly recorded while participants complete cognitive testing via E-Prime 3.0 (Psychology Software Tools) or Presentation (Neurobehavioral Systems).
